Warranty & Refund Policy
Intro
Smorobot provides a straightforward warranty that is processed in the most hassle-free way possible. Products sold by Smorobot come with their own unique warranty that you can find on the product listing or contact us at support@smorobot.com with your order receipt for confirmation.
This limited warranty provided by the manufacturer in no way affects a potential statutory warranty provided by law.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee for Any Reason
Undamaged products may be returned for a full refund for any reason within 30 days of the date of purchase. Once the returned item arrives back in Smorobot’s warehouse for inspection, the refund process will begin.
- Returns must include all accessories
- Items must include original packaging
- For non-quality related warranty claims, the buyer is responsible for shipping costs
- For non-quality related warranty claims, Smorobot refunds the cost of the product itself
- Returns may be rejected if the product does not meet the above requirements
Refund requests for the 30-day money-back guarantee must be within 30 days from the date of purchase. It is not possible to process a request for a refund for non-quality issues for items that have expired during this 30-day window. For purchases not made directly through Smorobot’s online stores, please contact retailers for refunds. For quality-related issues, please see below.
Warranty Claims for Manufacturing Defects only
All quality-related defects on items sold directly by Smorobot or Smorobot’s authorized resellers are covered starting from the date of purchase.
The warranty covers only the normal and reasonable use of products.
- Use the robot in the following water conditions only: Chlorine Max 4 ppm; PH 7.0 - 8.8; Temperature 6–35℃ (43 - 95℉);
- Ensure that the power supply is not in a wet environment. Ensure the environment temperature is between 0-40℃ (32-104℉) when charging. keep it away from strong and direct light sunlight. Make sure to dry up the charging port before charging.
Smorobot’s limited warranty is restricted to the country of purchase. The limited warranty is void on items taken outside the country they were originally bought in or shipped to directly from an authorized online purchase.
For quality-related warranty claims, items will be replaced with suitable replacement parts or a factory refurbished model of equal value when available, otherwise, a new item will be sent. Warranties on all replacements follow the same warranty time frame of the original defective item, or 3 months after being replaced, whichever is longer. Warranties on products are void after having been fully refunded.
Process:
- Initiate a return: Buyer must provide sufficient proof of purchase. Please email us at support@smorobot.com with photos and/or videos of the items and let us know your order number. Our customer service staff will determine the eligibility for your return request within 3 business days. The defective item’s serial number and/or visible proof depicting the defect are required
- Ship the item back: If your return is accepted, we’ll send you the return address, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. (Note: Items returned without authorization will not be accepted). We recommend that you send your return in a shipping method providing tracking information as well as a signature, because we will not be responsible for lost return/exchange.
- Refund: when we receive your return, we will inspect the item in 3-5 working days and then provide a replacement for an exchange or issue a refund.
Shipping costs must be covered by the buyer in the following situations:
- Returning products for any reason other than a proven manufacturing defect
- Returning personal items
- Returning items claimed to have defects but were found by Smorobot quality control to be in working condition
- Costs associated with unauthorized returns (any returns made outside of the approved warranty process)
Refunds
- Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, the refund will be provided to the original method of payment within 2-3 working days.
- If you haven’t received the refund within 2-3 working days, please check your bank account again. Then contact your bank or credit card company. It may take some time before a refund is official posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at support@smorobot.com.
Order Cancellations
- We can cancel the order for you if you contact us in time after your purchase.If your payment finished and the parcel is not shipped out, you can cancel your order before your item’s delivery. And we will refund full of your money.
- Orders can't be canceled once the parcel is shipped out.
Not Covered Under Warranty:
- Products without sufficient proof of purchase
- Items that have expired their warranty period
- Non-quality-related issues (after 30 days of purchase)
- Free products
- Repairs through 3rd parties
- Product discoloration, or any other cosmetic or superficial damage or deterioration, regardless of its cause, is not covered by this warranty.
- Malfunction or damage due to human negligence or rough handling including but not limited to dropping the unit, using improper voltage input, using an unauthorized cleaning solution, failure to properly package the product for transportation, etc.
- Failure to properly install, operate or maintain the product in accordance with SMOROBOT’S published installation, operation, and/or maintenance manuals.
- Freezing, corrosion, cracking, overheating, warping, flooding, moisture intrusion, or any other condition caused by or related to weather, climate, improper winterization, or improper equipment placement.
When returning items with a prepaid shipping label provided by Smorobot, Smorobot takes responsibility for any damage or loss incurred in transit. When returning items for non-quality issues, the buyer assumes responsibility for any damage or loss incurred in transit. Smorobot does not provide refunds for items damaged in transit for non-quality-related warranty claims.
