If I order a Smorobot, do I need to pay for a charger or filters?

No, there's no need to pay extra.

When you say Smorobot covers most surfaces, what has it currently been tested on?

Smorobot service robots are fit for nearly all pool surfaces, including Pebble, Plaster, Concrete, Paint, Tiles, Gunite, Vinyl Line, PVC and etc.

Is the robot waterproof?

Yes, it has a waterproof rating of IPX8, so it’s entirely waterproof. Make sure to tighten the Charging Port seal cap when you use it.

check_box

Can the robot clean the pool while I swim/the pool inlet works?

Try to clean the pool when it’s not in use.

Try to clean the pool when the inlet is not working.

check_box

Will it get stuck on some shaped drain covers?

We have tested in a large number of underwater real-world scenarios, a Smorobot can easily pass a variety of common drain covers.

check_box

Will the robot climb up and clean steps?

Smorobots can easily climb up the steps.

However, in order to fully clean the floor, walls, and waterline, the robot integrates a large-capacity battery and a 4.08L filter basket, so the size of the robot is larger than the width of the normal steps.

It’s hard for the robot to move or turn around on the steps and collect the debris efficiently. So, it’s a design trade-off.

When the robot detects it’s on the steps, it will climb down autonomously and continue cleaning the floor or walls of the pool.

Does it offer changeable brushes for different surfaces?

The high-speed brushes of our Smorobots fit for any material of pool surface, including Pebble, Plaster, Concrete, Paint, Tiles, Gunite, Vinyl Line, PVC and etc.

Meanwhile, the brushes can be easily disassembled and replaced with new ones.

Can I charge my robot in any temperature?

The recommended environment temperature for charging is 6–35°C.

Do not charge your robot in unfavorable temperatures, e.g. in heat exposure.

What should I do before I put my robot in water?

Make sure the battery is sufficiently charged (battery indicator lights up green).

If more than 5 LED beads of battery indicator light up, the default program is to clean walls first, then the floor;

if fewer than 5 LED beads light up, the default program is to clean the floor only.

Open the top cover, insert a clean filter basket in the robot.

Decide how you’d like to retrieve the robot. Two options are currently offered:

When the cleaning job is done, you can retrieve the robot with the hook.

How do I choose between Standard/Fast mode/Weekly timer mode?

Different cleaning procedures are carried out in two/three modes:

Standard Cleaning Mode: If you haven’t cleaned your pool for a long time, or your pool is very dirty and you want to clean all pool surfaces, feel free to use Standard Cleaning Mode.

Floor Only Mode: If you clean your pool on a regular basis and only want to clean the floor, feel free to use Floor Only Mode for daily cleaning.

Weekly Timer: If you want the robot to clean the pool 3 times a week on one charge, it cleans the floor every 48 hours in W mode.

Note: Weekly timer will be activated only on full charge.

Can I place the robot in the water from any place of the pool?

It’s recommended to drop it from a longer side of the pool, with no steps around or uneven floor at the bottom.

How long can the robot be left in water?

We recommend taking your Smorobot out after each use to empty and clean the filter.

Then store it in a cool, dry place.

We also recommend rinsing your cleaner with clear water regularly to remove any excess chemicals or salts.

For Smorobot robots with a weekly timer option, the robot can stay in your pool for a week; you will need to clean the filter at the end of the weekly cycle.
