Cleaner
Fully charge the cleaner before use

Make sure charging port is dry. Only connect the Charging Station to a ground fault circuitinterrupter (GFCI)-protected outlet.

Turn on the cleaner and select cleaning mode

Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds and short press toswitch cleaning modes

Place the cleaner in the pool

The cleaner will start cleaning within 60 seconds underwater.

Mobile App
Install the SMOROBOT APP

Search “SMOROBOT” to install or update the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once the download is completed, select the SMOROBOT icon on your mobile phone to open the app.

Sign Up and Log In

Please use your email to create a new account and log in to use the mobile app.

Connect Device

Turn on the cleaner, and make sure the Bluetooth on your mobile phone is also turned on.

1. Click “+” button on the app to add a new device

2. Scan for the new device. 

3. Select the device from the list and connect

Select Cleaning Mode

When the cleaner is connected to your app, 

1. Choose the level of debris in your pool on the app

2. Select one of the recommended cleaning mode

3. press the Start button on the app

4. Place the cleaner in the pool. And the app shows the remaining cleaning time of the current mode

What pool finish is supported by Smorobot cleaner?

Smorobot cleaner is suitable for all common pool finishes, including pebble, concrete/ gunite,vinyl liner, fiberglass, plaster, PVC liner, etc. It doesn't support glass or tile surfaces.

What are the required water conditions in the swimming pool?

Please use the Smorobot cleaner only in the following water conditions:

• Chlorine: Max 4 PPM

• pH: 7.0-7.8 PPM

• Temperature: 6-35°C / 43-95°F (below 15°C / 59°F climbing performance may be affected)

• NaCl: Max 5000 PPM

• Depth: 0.5-3m / 1.6-13.1ft

When to use different cleaning modes?

Floor/Edge Mode: Recommended to use this mode for heavy debris cleaning. It cleans the pool floor, gentle slopes, and steep slopes in the deep-end.

Wall/Waterline Mode: If you only want to clean the walls and waterline, use this mode. It also cleans the stairs.

All Mode: If you want to clean your entire pool, use this mode to clean the floor, slopes, walls,stairs and waterline.

Weekly Mode: If you want to keep the pool bottom clean every day, please choose this mode to clean the pool floor on a regular basis. The robot will start cleaning every 2 days by default. You can adjust the interval between the cleanings on the Mobile APP.

Does the cleaner clean the stairs?

Smorobot cleaners will clean the stairs in the "Wall/Waterline" Mode and in the "All" Mode.

What should I know about charging the cleaner?

It is highly recommended to charge the cleaner indoors, or out of direct sunlight. The outdoor temperature needs to be between 6-35°C / 43-95°F. Always use the original charging adaptor. DO NOT USE an extension cord.

Where should I place the cleaner in the pool?

Best practice is to place the cleaner at the middle of the long side of the swimming pool. Place the cleaner under water, gently tilting it to the left and right to release trapped air. Release the cleaner and watch it sink to the bottom of the pool. Please DO NOT place the cleaner on a sundeck, a top step or in the water where the depth is less than 50cm / 20 inches.

Can I control the cleaner via Mobile APP while it's working underwater?

No. The cleaner connects with Mobile APP via bluetooth. It only works when the cleaner is out of the water.

Will I receive a notification on Mobile APP when the cleaner completes its cleaning cycle?

If you choose to enable the feature "Park at Waterline" on the Mobile APP, the cleaner will climb up to the waterline after cleaning, connect with your mobile phone via bluetooth, and send out a notification.

Please keep the mobile phone within 10m or 33 feet from the swimming pool, in order to be able to connect with the cleaner.

Tips for daily use?

• Please clean the filter baskets and the cleaner, after each cleaning cycle.

• Please use a soft rag to clean dirt from the glass in front of the laser and camera on the cleaner, after each cleaning cycle.

• Keep the cleaner away from strong and direct sunlight.

• Ensure the charging port on the cleaner is dry, before plugging in the charger.

What should I do before storing the cleaner after the season?

• Fully charge the cleaner before long storage.

• Place the cleaner indoors, away from direct sunlight, rain, or poor weather.

◦ Temperature: 6-40°C / 43-104°F

◦ Humidity: lower than 75% RH

• Fully charge the cleaner at least once every 3 months.

Introduction

As your Smorobot cleaner navigates throughout your pool, it continuously collects data and employs an advanced AI planner to analyze its performance in real-time. If you find the cleaner doesn't clean your pool to your expectations, connect the cleaner with the Mobile APP. The feedback you provide Smorobot will be uploaded to the cloud (with your permission), so our software team can send you personalized software updates to optimize the cleaner's performance and provide you with an exceptional cleaning experience.

Submit your feedback

Turn on the cleaner and connect it to the mobile app,

1. Open the mobile app, and go to the page titled "Me"

2. Click the "Feedback" button, and then go to the page titled “Feedback”

3. Describe the problem that you have encountered

4. Submit the feedback

Update the device

When the personalized software update is ready,

1. Next time when you connect the cleaner to the mobile app, a dialog will pop up in the app

2. Click the “Update” button

3. Wait for the updating process is completed


Note: Make sure the cleaner has more than 80% battery power during the update and keep your phone within 6 ft from the cleaner.
